Hazrat Sheik Sharf-Uddin Abu Tawama (RA)
 or his Khankah & Madrasha

Hazrat Ala-Ul-Hoque (RA)
Hazrat Ala-Ul Hoque (RA) was a renowned Sufi Saint Of 'Pandua'during the period of Sultan Sikandar Shah ( 1357-1393 AD). He was a much learned  Sufi saint and  was a disciple of world famous Sufi Saint Akhi Siraj-Uddin.Hazrat Ala-Ul- Hoque (RA) established a khankha  and Longar khana in the name of his mentor Hazrat Akhi Siraj-Uddin in Pandua and used to spent so much money for feeding the poors  that even the Sultan Sikandar Shah became envious to him and directed him to leave Pandua for Sonargaon. Complying the Sultan's order Hazrat Ala-Ul Hoque went to Sonargaon and stayed there for few years in the Khankha & Madrasha of Hazrat Sheik Sharf-Uddin Abu Tawamah (RA) where he also started spending much money for the poor and distressed people in the Sonargaon Longar Khana..

Hazrat Shah Sharf-Uddin Chisty Ajmeri (RA)
Hazrat Shah Sharf-Uddin Chisty Ajmeri (RA) was the 2nd son of Hazrat Shah Muin-Uddin Chisty Ajmery Sanjery (RA) of Ajmeer,India who was a companion of Hazrat Shah Jalal Yameni (RA) and conquered with him  Sylhet in the year 1301 AD.On the instruction of Hazrat ShahJalal (RA),Hazrat Shah Sharf-Uddin Chisty Ajmery (RA) came to Sonargaon Khankah of Hazrat Sheik Sharf-Uddin Abu Tawama (RA) in the year 1303 AD after 3 years of death of Hazrat Abu Tawama (RA). There he met Hazrat Sheik Sharf-Uddin Yahya Maneri (RA) and remain in the Khankah for months together to exchange view about the religion and the process for preaching of Islam.Later on his advice Hazrat Shah Sharfuddin Chisty Ajmeri (RA) proceeded to Ramna village where the 'Kapalics of a 'Kali Mandir' used to slaughter humen being  as offering to goddes.There he established his Khankah and preached Islam to the distressed people. Later he died there and his Mazar is now lying within the premises of Bangladesh Supreme court popularly known as 'High Court Mazar' which is a very sacred places being visited everyday hundreds and thousands of Asecan and Musullis.

Ibn Batuta
The great Morroccan traveler 'Ibn Batuta' came to Bengal in the year 1285 AD through Chittagong port and strait went to Sylhet to meet with Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA). Therefrom he came to Sonargaon by boat and met Hazrat Sheik Sharf-Uddin Abu Tawama (RA).In his travel book 'Rihala-e-Ibn Batuta' he wrote about his meeting with this scholar Sufi saint and praised high about his personality and the Madrasha. Ibn Batuta left Sonargaon for 'Java' by availing Sea worthy  ship named 'Junk' from Sonargaon International Port  which was situated at the bank of Meghna River known at that period as 'Meghna Daria'

Hazrat Sharafuddin Abu Tawama died in 1300 and Ibn e Batuta was born at Tangier in 1304.He started traveling at the age of twenty one.He might come to Bangal some time after 1325.Above mentioned years not supports a meeting between the two.Here he met with Sheikh Sharfuddin Yahya Muniri instead of Hazrat Sharfuddin Abu Tawama.This is the same case as he confused the name of Hazrat Sheikh Jalal ud Din Tabrezi with Hazrat Shah Jalal Mujarrad Silhati in a meeting with the later.
